The 2008 USAFL Women's National Championships will be contested on October 11 & 12 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Free agents will be rounding out the rosters.  We welcome and encourage all women to sign up and play at Nationals no matter your age or experience.

Registration

All women competing will be required to submit proof of citizenship.  Passports and birth certificates are acceptable to prove non-Australian citizenship.  Australians can provide those or just a driver's license.

USA Freedom Squad Selection & Third Squad Training Day. - Final Opportunity!

Squad Selection:

Potential Players wishing to be considered for the 2009 tour to Australia are requested to contact Head Coach Wayne Kraska immediately. From games played & squad training sessions in 2008 as well as games played at the National Championships in Colorado Springs a National Squad and alternates will be selected on Saturday night at the event. Kookaburras fire at Duel in the Desert

The first women's footy games of the year were held on Saturday with the inaugural 'Duel in the Desert' tournament hosted by the Arizona Lady Hawks. With temperatures expected to rise into the triple digits it was an early start with games starting not long after 8.00am. At the event were the newly formed Denver Lady Bulldogs and the Atlanta Lady Kookaburras as well as the hosts of course the Lady Hawks, runners-up at last years Nationals in Louisville. read more »

Freedom Squad Training

The first of several Freedom Squad training and testing sessions for 2008 will take place Sunday June 1 at 9.00 am in Gilbert AZ morning following the Arizona Women's Footy tournament. All women players in the USA registered with the USAFL and members of their club (or in process of) are permitted to try out for the squad. (Contact your own club if you are uncertain of your own status)

USA Student Joins WA Football Team

University of Wisconsin/Madison business and sports management student Jacqueline Theiler has become the first US student to join the West Australian Football Commission on an internship.

Jacqueline, who has moved to Perth (WA) as part of an international student abroad program at Murdoch University, will work with the West Australian Country Football League in the areas of sponsorship delivery, marketing, event management and general administration duties. read more »
