Lucy
Lucy is a rescue born in August 2016 in the village of Chevak, AK. We were told she was a German Shepherd mix, but when she turned out to be a small dog (23 pounds), we were very curious about the "mix" part. A DNA test listed her as German Shepherd, Alaskan Malamute, Labrador Retriever, Cocker Spaniel, and Miniature Poodle (plus some undetermined breeds). Whatever her genetic makeup, it's the best combination of sweet temperament, playful nature, and fun energy, although she can be a bit of a drama queen. After seeing her love of running fast and balls, we knew she had to try flyball, and she loves it! Lucy currently has a personal best of 4.480 seconds. When she is not doing flyball, she enjoys chasing balls (in the living room, at the park, down the hall...), going for walks, and snuggling with her humans and her older "siblings," Exit and Penny.
