Tishka
(NAFA points/racing history)
Tishka, originally from the village of Scammon Bay, was rescued by Bethel Friends of Canines during the summer of 2016 when she was about a year old. From Bethel, she came into Anchorage through Alaska SPCA. All it took was one look into her soulful eyes and I knew she was the dog for me. Tishka is a husky mix who loves to run and explore. She has become a great hiking partner, and also loves to skijor and run with me while biking. Other loves include swimming, rolling around in the tundra, and fetching balls. Tishka is quite the cuddler and acts like an old mellow dog in the house. With Tishka’s love of fetching balls and running, I thought flyball might be just the sport for her. She is loving it so far, and I can’t wait until the day she is racing with the other dogs.
