OCTOBER 6, 2003 - AMES, IA - It is my distinct pleasure as the webmaster of the Cyclone Flyers Flyball Club to bring you this Fiscal Year 2003 summary of our club's many successes over the past year. After a lot of hard work by many members during our first season F.Y. 2002, we really saw the fruits of those labors pay off this season! Many thanks to everyone in the club for the hard work, past and present, that made this year such a success. Here is a summary of what our club and dogs accomplished in F.Y. 2003: Finished 10th of all clubs in Region 3 (IA, MN, NE, ND, and SD) A grand total of 34,932 points were earned by our dogs. 1 Flyball Master Excellent (FMX) title (Halley) 4 Flyball Master (FM) titles (Bailey, Cutter, Dakota, and Digit) 7 Flyball Dog Champion (FDCh) titles (Bailey, Buddy, Cutter, Dakota, Digit, Kacy, and Tye) 7 Flyball Dog Excellent (FDX) titles (Bailey, Buddy, Dakota, Dander, Digit, Kacy, Saige, and Tye) 6 Flyball Dog (FD) titles (Buddy, Dakota, Dander, Digit, Saige, and Tye) A total of 25 different titles all earned by our dogs and handlers! The club team speed record was shattered 9 times during the year. All the way down to a blazing (for us) 19.13 seconds! Numerous individual dog speed records were set. 2 1st place finishes 3 2nd place finishes 4 3rd place finishes at our tournament appearances! 3 dogs are now on NAFA Breed point lists. (Bailey, Saige, and Shadow) 1 dog placed in the Top 250 for points of all dogs racing this year. (Cutter) And many other personal (and canine) goals were achieved during the past year! I can say its been an awesome experience for me, as I'm sure it has been for everyone that is a part of this great club! Thanks to all the dogs, handlers, our support staff (especially Donnie!), other clubs who've helped us over the past year, and everyone else who has been a part of our successful racing season.
