EXPLANATION OF FLYBALL POINTS The North American Flyball Association, or NAFA, has established a system of points to recognize outstanding performance by individual dogs participating on teams in the sport of flyball. In each race run at a tournament, four dogs from the team participate. Based on the time that these four dogs take as a team to successfully complete the run, points are awarded individually for each dog that participated in that particular race. The accumulation of these points allows the dogs to earn titles at certain cumulative point totals. Look here for an explanation of titles and how they are earned. Point totals are based on the career of the dog; all points earned by the dog are permanent, and carried throughout their lifetime. Below is a chart which indicates the race times a team needs to achieve to earn these individual
points. The first column is the points awarded for the race, the second column is the time
in which the four dog team must complete the course to earn the points.
For more information about flyball titles and points, please consult
the NAFA website. Look under ABOUT NAFA, then select AWARDS AND TITLES from the menus for
the details straight from the source.
