Jumpin' Jet Flash
Jet is all about setting records. Purchased as a puppy and raised as an outdoor dog, he was turned into the shelter at the age of two because they could not keep him from jumping the fence. When I went to the shelter to evaluate him for another foster home in Border Collie Rescue Texas, I knew this guy was unique and needed to go to a home that would teach him competitive sports. So we took him home and he quickly became my husband's flyball partner, so we adopted him. Only 16 weeks from leaving the shelter, Jet competed in his first flyball tournament at Reliant! That has to be a record time for training for competition. Not only did he do an awesome job, he helped his teammates earn several titles, and he earned his first two titles as well.
Since his first tournament, Jet continues to run flawless and at top speed. We really think he knew flyball in a past life.
Look for Jet in other sports as well, he's already testing the waters in Dock Dogs and showed great promise in his herding test. He also hopes to start training in agility soon.
