What is Flyball?
Flyball competition consists of races between two teams of four dogs each
racing side-by-side over a 51-foot long course. Each team's racing lane consists
of four jumps and a flyball box placed at the end. The flyball box releases a
tennis ball after the dog pushes a pedal on the front of the box. Each dog must
run in relay fashion over the jumps, trigger the release of the ball, retrieve
the ball, and return over the jumps. The first team to have all four dogs finish
the course wins the heat.
