Maine Coast Runners Spring Fling
Dover, NH

Infurno jumped into the fire by sending four teams to the Spring Fling in Dover, NH. With some new lineups and a couple of green dogs, it was a weekend of lots of racing & sometimes chaos, and we all had a blast!

Rapid Fire, our Regular Division 1 team of seasoned dogs Sobe, Folly, Token and Indy took 3rd place with a best time of 17.7, earning 790 points. Junior Handler Perri Ansons also got her first taste of racing when she got to handle Sobe in a few heats.

Fired Up, consisting of Cally, Kit, Cheyenne & Benny, with Dandy subbing in a couple of races, was on fire & took First Place in Division 5 Regular, with a best time of 22.07 and earning 625 points. Kit was once again expertly handled by our Junior Handler, Jessica, who did an awesome job “running with the big dogs” for two very long days!

Wild Fire, our Multi Division 1 team had a slightly new lineup with Dandy running as start dog, followed by Bailey, Tex & Q, with Indy pinch-hitting for Q. Wild Fire placed 3rd with a best time of 19.32, earning 499 points. The Brave Soldier Award goes to Jack Martin for handling Bailey since Dave had 2 dogs on the same team. Advil, anyone?

Fire Starters was our Multi Division 2 team, and although they did not receive a placement, they ran very consistently all weekend to earn a whopping 633 points. This team included Finn, Dakota and Benny, and was the debut for Ginger, Wendy’s fast black lab. Ginger ran as start dog & they did great, even posting a start time of 0.000! Wendy is officially hooked!

Infurno also boasts many new titles earned in Dover:
Wendy Ansons & Ginger – FD, FDX & FDCH (in their very first tournament!)

Kathy Martin & Indy – FDCH-Gold

Val Whiterock & Vortex – FM (really!)
