Coconut Classic

What a great event! The facilities were outstanding. Our main
objective for this tournament was to have FUN and that we did. It
was very relaxing to run just 1 team. Over the course of 2 days we
ran 6 races out of the 300 races. We took 3rd Place in R2 division.
We had some great (close) races with the 2 teams that came in front
of us. This is the first time these 4 dogs ran together as a team
and dogs and handlers did great. Not even any poops in the lane!

There were over 70 teams competing so we got to meet all kinds of
dogs and people. Our volcano Mt Infurno was absolutely the best volcano
there. We are still perplexed that the judges didn't seem
to appreciate our decorations, but I think we all had fun putting it
all together. We did receive the prize for the best costume
for a dog team!

I'm glad these folks recognized our junior handlers because we could
not have competed without them! Dana stepped right in as our box
loader and did a tremendous job each and every race. Jessica and Kit
did awesome, no crossovers, no ball dropping.... and Perri handled
Sobe like a pro. These girls helped throughout the weekend, walking
dogs, shagging balls, decorating, drawing raffle tickets and
swinging away at our Pinata.

I'm glad we were able to go poolside and enjoy our Pizza dinner
together on Saturday night and then top it off at Dairy Queen.
Kathy is still thinking about that Nintendo doggie game.

Topping it all off for us was Indy being named to the "Dream Team".
Kathy really knows how to run her and she got some really good times.
