Dog Gone Fast Winter WufFest Flyball Tournament
January 20-21, 2007  -  Raleigh, North Carolina
 

 

The Jersey Devil Dog Club had two teams make the trek to North Carolina to compete in the DogGoneFast Tournament at "The North Carolina Fairgrounds"  in Raleigh again in 2007.
 
  1. Pawzest - Regular Division 4 -  1st Place
         Taz, Sally, Buffy, Fusion/Peyton & Lily 

The Pawzest team ran almost flawlessly winning every race up until the last race on Sunday.  Best time was in the 20.9 range (breakout was 20.7).  Even the new dogs ran very cleanly.   Although she ran part of each race watching the dog in the lane next to her, Fusion ran fast and had a best time in the 4.8's somewhere.   Peyton had 1 race (5 heats) and was extremely steady earning 125 points.   Fusion earned her FDCH-Silver and Peyton her FD & FDX.   Naturally the old pros, Sally, Buffy and Taz ran well and consistently.

  2. Lucifers - Multi-Breed  Division 1 -  2nd Place
         Beep, Tyronne, Jessie, Louie & Lilly

The Lucifers had a few mishaps, bobbles bad passes, etc., on Saturday.  but at the end of day Saturday, Lucifers were a close 3rd to solid FBI (1st) and Fur Fun (2nd) teams.  On Sunday, the Lucifers fought back and wound up tying FBI for first....... but unfortunately for us, the FBI team had the fastest time overall and therefore won the tie-breaker, making Lucifers 2nd, edging ahead of Fur Fun. 

Special thanks to the 4 Dog Night team for helping out the JDD humans. It seems we were shy a couple humans and without the able assistance of the 4 Dog Night crew we would have really had a hassle!  Thanks guys!
