Flyball

Michelle Koon's Luger

by Pam Koons

Luger (WSCC/RB/BIMBS U-CH U-CD Crystal's Li'l Pistol Von Tasz, AM/CN CD, FG40K, WETT, DSA, NA, OAJ, HC, CGC, OFA (h&e), 88%vWF) has been playing flyball since 1994. He took to the game right away and hasn't missed a beat since. He absolutely loves the sport and has always been an extremely dependable flyball dog. He will run in any position, passing any dog, and never tires of the game. He lets the whole world know when he is on his way to the lanes and when he is racing. He may never be as fast as a Border Collie but he is very quick and agile for his size and he is FULL of heart. Luger was the first German Shepherd to earn a FM, FMX, FMCH, Onyx, FGDCH and go over 40,000 points. He has held the position as the #1 GSD since 1996. Besides competing in flyball, Luger enjoys other activities such as Agility, Obedience, Herding, Conformation, Therapy Work, Water Rescue, Sled Pulling, Personal Protection, and more. He has earned titles in many of them. He is a good competitor and generally places in most of his competitions. He is my Best Friend and my angel on earth. He has helped me and my family pull through many hard times including the resent battle my father has had with Cancer. Spending an entire day by my father's hospital bed, helping to give him the strength to carry on, is just ONE of the many, many things Luger has brought into our lives. He truly is a once in a lifetime friend and I hope to share many more joy filled years with him at my side.
