Megan was born in Gainsborough, Tennessee on Flag Day.  Listed with the American Kennel Club she was one of six pups in a litter from Shelby and Buddy, my sister’s two Shelties.  Patty picked her out saying that Megan was not afraid and was the most trusting of the litter, but the first time she peed on the carpet Megan and I were both going to be put out of the house.  Thankfully, she never peed in the house, but did chew up a couple pairs of new shoes. Megan is a real sweetheart, but also real competitor and has lots of courage and drive.

Her favorite performance sports include Flyball, Disc Dogs, Agility, Freestyle and a bit of Herding.  Her tricks are entertaining and while she doesn’t get as excited about it, she continues to earn titles in her Obedience Trial work.

She is very food motivated and we sometimes we call her “Little Hoover” as she seems to vacuum up all the food and crumbs around   Kids, tennis balls, tugs and treats are her favorites, next to giving mea big hug by jumping up and wrapping her legs around my neck, giving me a nose kiss and whining with joy to see me  when I have return from work or being away.

Megan is performs her job well at whatever she has been trained in.  While not the fastest flyball dog, she may be perhaps the most consistent, rarely missing a jump or dropping a ball  She is very loving and the best dog cheerleader for our On Your Bark Team.  Soon she will have earned her FMX title in Flyball and we are proud that she will be one of 90 out of 604 Shelties in NAFA to have earned this title.
