Meadow, then identified simply as “F11”, was rescued from a rural, Georgia shelter September 2003, two days before she was to be euthanized.  Our team captain, Andrea, found
her picture on www.Petfinder.org.  I’m not sure what
drew Andrea to her picture out of the
100+ pictures of JRT’s on that site but I felt led
to follow her instincts.  Brian and I were a bit
apprehensive at first because we
had never owned a JRT, but her sweet eyes
and “please love me” looks melted all of our worries away.

Meadow is still polishing her flyball skills.  As the smallest member of the team, she works hard to earn her chance to run with the big dogs.  She is a bright student and always approaches training with a serious,
“get the job done” attitude.

Meadow lives with two amazing American Staffordshire Terriers, a sweet Black Lab and a large, Chartreaux cat.  Her dog siblings don’t seem to mind her buzzing around and constantly intruding on their naps and personal space.  However, we are lucky she is fast enough to get away from the cat.  They are entrenched in an ongoing war over his food bowls.  He tries to tell her it’s called CAT food, not JACK food.  Brian and I find her extremely entertaining.  Hardly a
day goes by that we don’t laugh at something she does.
We feel so lucky as a family to have Meadow in our lives.
She brings us so much joy!
