Ike was “rescued” from a pet store.  Joan didn’t know that much about dogs at the time, but knew that border collies needed lots of activity and work to do. She was afraid he would end up chained to a tree somewhere, so she bought him when her husband went out of town.   It took her four years to find the right job – flyball.  Ike was a natural player!  He is truly Joan’s “lifetime dog” – changing her life in many, many positive ways.  He is presidential and regal – just like the man he is named for.
