Viktor came a total surprise - a present for 25 years at work - hence his name, “Viktor’s Quarter Century”.  When my boss asked me if I ever thought about getting a second dog. I innocently said “yes”.  When she asked how I would go about it, I said “my first dog’s breeder is my vet”.  My boss said she had been thinking about changing vets and I gave her the name.  The vet contacted a friend of hers who had a four month old that she did not want to sell to a “pet” home, but a conformation and/or performance home.  So at my surprise party at work, there was a four month old Vizsla running around for me to take home !  He is the great nephew of my first dog, Tisza.

Viktor loves everyone, maybe too much.  He has been known to cross over to sniff butt - male or female.  He loves the tennis balls and the travel.  He did take a while to train, but he had to take time out to finish his AKC conformation championship.

2010 A cruciate ligament injury during practice in the summer of 2007 ended his flyball career.  So, after surgery at Michigan State and physical therapy (he loved the underwater treadmill), he took up Rally Obedience to keep him busy.
