Paws of Thunder holds weekly practices on Sunday afternoons.

Depending on the time of year the practice start time varies from 1PM to 6:30PM. Practices usually last 3 hours. We typically practice at the Westoak Dog Training Center. During the heat of the summer we sometimes practice at Dogwood Dog Training Center.

Our training techniques are based on POSITIVE reinforcement. We use clicker training and advise anyone interested in Flyball to first take your dog to an obedience class. Various levels of obedience training are available at Westoak Dog Training Center.

We welcome those interested in finding out what Flyball is like to come visit one of our practices. Flyball is a very social sport so many members go out to dinner together after practice at a nearby Mexican restaurant. We hope you can come along; it’s a great way to get to know everyone!
