Flyball Heaven

Flyball Heaven is a wonderful place for our dogs to go when they leave us. It's a place where dogs may run as many races as they want, the jumps are always low, they never drop their balls, and they always win.

Max

Born: Sometime in 2000
Died: September 5, 2010
Fastest Time: 4.419 seconds

Max was an amazing dog. He was a mixed breed dog, big, solid, and strong. Max was one of the foundation dogs for Stampede, helping us with new training techniques and  breaking team records from 19.64, 18.82, 18.45, and 18.07.  Max helped us with training many puppies and new handlers, young and old.  He would run for anyone, and in any position,  just have a ball in hand and he was your new best friend.

Max will be greatly missed, Rest in peace our friend, companion, and teammate.

Max came to live with Crystal and Dan at the age of 12 weeks, after Dan rescued him from a family who couldn't keep him any longer. Max learned Flyball at an early age and loved the game his whole life.  He was an eager learner and always did his best.

At one point, Crystal tried to train Max in Agility, but that did not last long. Max'x great love was for the ball. He loved to play "fetch the ball" in the back yard with the kids. He was relentless and persistent when the kids did not want to toss the ball any more he would follow them and drop it at their feet.He was alway soft with the kids, so not to scare them when bringing the ball back, dropping it then backing up so they could pick it up.

Max was a great start dog. Early in his career, he consistently ran in the low 4's in the start position. Later he ran more slowly, but still barked until his turn came to run. He never refused to run, never gave up, and ran his heart out until the end.
