What is Flyball?

Flyball is a fun (and sometimes addicting) fast paced team dog sport that consists of four dogs on a team racing against another team of four dogs in a relay style race.

Each dog runs down a 51' lane over 4 jumps to a spring loaded box.  The box has a ball placed in a hole on the front of the box and when the dog pounces on the front of this box, the ball flies out for the dog to catch. After he catches the ball, he runs back down the same lane where one of his teammates is waiting to do the same. The first team to have all four dogs finish the course, without error, wins the race.

If you think dogs can't fly...they can.  Some teams run all four dogs up and back in 16 seconds or less. Whew, that's fast!
