On Sunday May, 19, 2002, Dash lost his battle with lymphoma. He was only 10 years old and is truly missed by all who knew him. His freckles and constant grin promptly charmed everyone who met him. He was quite the schmoozer!
Dash crammed a lot of living into his 10 years. He got to herd sheep at Colleen and Marilyn's houses; play flyball; do obedience and agility; take long walks; get skunked; and eat or roll in various disgusting things at his friend Diana's house. He went swimming for tennis balls at Linda's house; spent the evenings at Phyllis's house while mom worked; and escaped across the street to the neighbor's house where he would always be rewarded with a really good cookie. He would guard his cat from Kai and Rumor when they spent the night; beat up the cat when no one was looking; growl at all of the other silly dogs whenever he felt like it; sleep upside down on his chair (or in the bathroom or in the corner - upside down being the important part) and go up north to family reunions so everybody could admire how extremely handsome he was.
Dash was unique. He had a sense of humor. His time with us was too short and he is missed dearly. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is there with his dog buddies waiting for the rest of us.
Rest now Dash, you fought a good fight.
