Schedule Seeding Chart Welcome Letter

We will be hosting our second annual holiday season tournament at the same great racing facility in which we ran last year.

This year's event will be held during the (US) Thanksgiving weekend. Once again, due to the size of the facility, this will be a limited tournament. We will be offering 40 teams all day Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday and Sunday (spread across both days), we will be offering racing in the Regular and Multibreed classes. The Regular class will be limited to 28 teams and the Multibreed class will be limited to 12 teams.

As before, we will be awarding prizes to all teams entered, regardless of placement.

Running Surface:

Tuff spun matting will be placed on top of a padded rubber floor. Minimum runback is 75 feet.

Entries Closing / Cost:

Entries will be accepted until 6:00pm on Sunday, October 19, 2008.

Regular and Multibreed classes (run on Saturday and Sunday) cost $110 (US) per team.

* Please make checks payable to Lorel Bradshaw. *

Directions to the site:

Directions, with any updated construction-related changes to the traffic patterns, are available on the Canine Sports Recreation Center web site at http://www.caninesportsrec.com/.

Parking / Camping:

There is not sufficient space near the building for the parking of large vehicles. There are no camping facilities located on the site.

There is sufficient parking in the area for the cars, vans and small trucks of all who will attend the tournament. Parking near the building entrances is at a premium, however. For that reason, we will designate an area near the entrances as a loading / unloading zone in which you can temporarily leave your vehicles while you move your dogs and equipment into the building. Please complete your unloading as quickly as possible, and move your vehicle to a designated parking space in one of the surrounding lots.

If you are transporting your team’s equipment to the site in a utility trailer, we ask that you ‘drop it’ in one of the designated spaces away from the entrance to the building and park your tow vehicle in an adjacent space once you have finished unloading it. Additional spaces will be designated with signs in the adjacent lots for the parking of over-sized trailers (ones that will not fit into one normal-sized parking space).

Please observe the Handicapped Parking spaces (designated with both temporary and permanent signs) near the building entrances. We ask that only those with the required valid permits park in these spaces so that those who cannot easily walk the longer distances from the other areas can have less trouble getting into the building.

If your club has members who will require this near-building parking, please send an email to us no later than 11/26/08 to let us know how many spaces you will need. We will make sure that there are sufficient spaces designated for their use.

Crating:

Crating areas will be assigned inside the building and clearly marked. We will have crating areas assigned on cement, so bring items needed to make your dog(s) comfortable!

Team Lineup Labels:

If you know your lineups in advance, you can complete the excel team lineups file (click here to download) and send it to our team email address before midnight on Tuesday night, 11/25/08. We will add the information to the timesheets for you prior to the tournament. If changes become necessary, they can be made to the sheets prior to the beginning of racing on Friday afternoon for Open and Veterans classes or Saturday morning for Regular and Multibreed classes.

Should you exercise this option, a member of your club will need to check your team timesheet(s) prior to the beginning of racing for the classes in question to confirm that the information was entered correctly / make any needed changes. That person will need to initial the timesheet to indicate that it was checked.
