June 25-26, 2011 - PDQ/Ignited Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. The Regular 2 team finished 4th on Saturday and Sunday. The Open 2 team finished 1st on Saturday and 4th on Sunday in Open 1. New titles include Koda and Matt Jobes earning their Onyx plaque! Kiah and Krystl Raven earned their FDCh-S. Good job!

 

June 11-12, 2011 - Furry Flash Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Moose Jaw, SK. This was our 3rd annual Moose Jaw Mania Flyball Tournament. It was a lot of work but we pulled it off and had a great weekend of racing. Feist and Julie Dimler joined us on the Open 2 team. That team finished 3rd on both days. Thanks to Julie for playing with us! Our Regular 4 team placed 1st both days. The Division 1 team finished 3rd both days. They also managed to drop our best time to 17.37 on Saturday and then to 17.09 on Sunday!! The dogs on that team were Koda, Tripp, Kiwi and Tucker on Saturday and Koda, Bug, Tripp and Kiwi on Sunday. New titles include Sadie and Jillian Scharfstein earning their FMX title. Riley and Jeremy Caissie earning their FM title. Kiah and Krystl Raven earning their FDCh. Kiwi and Jillian Scharfstein earning their FDCh - G. Good job team!!

 

May 8-9, 2011 - River Runners Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We were able to lower our club record once again this weekend to 17.56. Those dogs were Koda, Bug, Tripp and Cali. Both the Division 1 team and Open 1 team finished 3rd on Saturday and Sunday. Lots of new titles at this tourney: Tequila and Barb Howells earned their Onyx award. Way to go Tequila! Cali and Jillian Scharfstein earned their FMX. Tucker and Beth Orr earned their FDCh and FDCh-S. Mazel Tov and Jeremy Caissie earned their FDCh-S. Congrats everyone!!

 

March 26-27, 2011 - KAOS Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. The first tournament of 2011 was a good one for Furry Flash. We finished 1st in Division 1 on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday. This is the first time Furry Flash finished in the top 3 in Division 1 ever. They also set a new club record of 17.63 with Koda, Bug, Tripp and Cali! The Division 2 team hardly made a mistake and took first place both days. After some last minute changes, our open team finished 3rd and 4th and ran great (thanks to Good 2 Go for helping us out)! Always reliable Jackson earned his FMCh title. Our little Bug ran her heart out and achieved her FM title. We had lots of new dogs and titles this time around.  After running their first tournament in Edmonton earlier this year, Kiwi and Tov ran awesome and earned their FDCh titles with 4.8 and 4.9 times. Tucker was added to the lineup and didn't dissapoint, running full time by Sunday while posting some 4.4's with lots of room. Kiah also took to the lanes for the first time and made her mom proud by earning her FD. What a great weekend!!

October 23-24, 2010 - KAOS Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. Cynthia Arnold and Matt Jobes moved to Moose Jaw and ran with Furry Flash a week later. Their dogs did great with Koda running a 4.0 and Matt getting a perfect start! Bella was also great and ran low 4's for Cynthia. Melissa got a perfect start again with Bug. Both our teams did great. We finished 4th in Div 1 both days but managed to drop our team record to 18.20 with Bug, Tripp, Rootbeer and Sadie. Our open team finished 3rd on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday in Open 1. We can't wait to see what we can do next season!

September 14-15, 2010 - Diamonds in the Ruff Flyball Tournament, Saskatoon, SK. Hudson and Ken earned their FGDCh (60K) with 60,000 pts, making Hudson the first German Shorthaired Pointer to ever reach this title. At 11.5 years old, he is still in the top 200 dogs of all time. Good job old boy! Our open team finished 1st in Open 1 on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday. Thanks to Hank with Punch and Rhianna with Chili for running with us in open all weekend.

September 4-5, 2010 - Good 2 Go Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. Bug earned her FDCh-G and got a perfect start, Riley earned his FDCh-S and got a new personal best of 4.4! Tripp ran 4.0 in the pack. We lowered our team record to 18.27 with Bug, Tripp, Rootbeer and Cali!

 

August 14-15, 2010 - KAOS Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. Cali earned her FM title. We ran a new personal best of 18.54. Good work guys!

 

July 17-18, 2010 - Northern Power Paws Tournament, Edmonton, AB. Riley earned his FDX and looked great, posting a personal best of 4.5!

 

June 12-13, 2010 - Furry Flash Dogsports Tournament, Moose Jaw, SK. Lots of titles and brags this weekend. Tequila earned her FMCh title. Bug earned her FDCh title. Riley had his very first official flyball run and earned his FD title while he was at it. Way to go guys and congrats! Bug ran start for the first time and posted a personal best of 4.0! We posted a new best time of 18.58. Here are some pics from our second annual tournament. This year it was held at 15 Wing Moose Jaw Air Force Base.

   

 

May 22-23, 2010 - Redline Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Lethbridge, AB. Bug earned her FD, FDX and FDCh title. We ran a new team best time of 18.9!

 

May 8-9, 2010 - River Runners Flyball Tournament, Saskatoon, SK. Our best time for the weekend was 19.7.

 

March 27, 2010 - KAOS Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. Jillian Scharfstein and Jeremy Cassie joined Furry Flash. They have been a great addition to the team and so have their dogs, Callie, Riley and Sadie. Look for pups Kiwi, Tov and Patton next year.

 

November 7-8, 2009 - KAOS FLyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We placed 2nd in Div 2 both days.

 

September 5-6, 2009 - Good 2 Go Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We placed first in Division 4 on Saturday and 3rd in Division 3 on Sunday. We improved on our best time for all Furry Flash dogs with a 19.48. More titles again, Tripp earned his FMX, Rootbeer got her FM and Kaboo reached his FDCh and FDCh-S titles. Good job guys!

 

September 12-13, 2009 - KAOS Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. Kaboo continued his steady running, posted a 4.5 run and earned his FDX.

 

July 25-26, 2009 - Furry Flash Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Moose Jaw, SK. This was our first tournament in Moose Jaw. We had lots of coverage from the media and the tourney was a great success. We added OD and finished 2nd and 1st on Sunday in Open 2 with a best time of 19.41. Hudson and Dustie played with the vets (Dash, Prize, Turbo, Lugnut) and posted a best of 18.95.  Lots of titles this time. Kaboo ran in his first tournament and earned his FD. Tequila earned her FMX. Jackson the lab earned his FM.

 

July 11-12, 2009 - Northern Power Paws, Edmonton, AB. We ventured to Edmonton with four dogs and joined Quad Run (OD and Pyrat) to form an Open team. They finished 3rd and 4th but ran some great times. This was the fastest team that Furry Flash was a part of with a best time of 17.23.

 

June 27-28, 2009 - PDQ Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We finished 2nd in Division 4 on Saturday and 1st on Sunday. No titles this time.

 

May 16-17, 2009 - FastAntics/Furry Flash Flyball Tournament, Lethbridge, AB. This tourney was the first time Furry Flash co-hosted a tourney. It was lots of hard work but thanks to FastAntics' help, it all went out without a hitch and we can't wait to host our very first tourney all by ourselves July 25-26 in Moose Jaw! The team did well over both days in Division 3, finishing 3rd on both days. Hudson joined the NPP Veterans Team (Buddy, Nikki and Tucker) and together, they established the 5th fastest veterans time recorded in North America with an 18.60. Hooray for the old dogs!

 

May 9-10, 2009 - River Runners Flyball Tournament, Warman, SK. We finished 3rd on both days in Division 2. Best time of the weekend was 20.66. No titles this time.

 

March 28-29, 2009 - KAOS Dogsports, Regina, SK. We finished 2nd in Division 3 on Saturday 1st on Sunday. No titles this weekend. Our best time of the weekend was 20.15.

 

October 18-19, 2008 - KAOS Dogsports, Regina, SK. We finished 2nd on both days in Division 3 at this tourney. Dustie attained her FGDCh title with 40,000 points. Great job! Best time of the weekend was 20.03.

 

September 13-14, 2008 - Diamonds in the Ruff Flyball Tournament, Saskatoon, SK. We ran in a soccer arena for the first time at this tournament. We placed 1st in Division 3 on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday. No titles this time but we still had lots of fun.

 

August 30, 2008 - Good 2 Go Flyball Tournament, Grenfell, SK. We attended G2G's tourney for one day and ended up 4th in Division 4. We were able to break Furry Flash's personal best with a 19.94. Tequila and Barb earned their FM title. Tequila has been our sole height dog since we started and she's always been reliable and ready to run.

 

August 16-17, 2008 - KAOS Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We placed 5th in Division 3 on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday with a fastest time of 20.9. A big congrats goes out to Ken with Hudson reaching the FDGCh (50K) with 50,000 points.  At 9.5 years old, he's still the top pointed GSP in North America. Rootbeer and Barb earned yet another title this weekend, this time the FDCh-S. Rootbeer is really starting to show what she can do.  Congrats everyone.

 

July 12-13, 2008 - Northern Power Paws Flyball Tournament, Edmonton, AB. The NPP tournament has always been lots of fun and has great prizes. This year was no different. On the lanes, we placed 3rd in Open 2 on Saturday and 4th on Sunday. Thanks to Murphy the Papillon for running as our height dog all weekend. Rita and Banjo reached the milestone of FDGCh (30K). Good job! Banjo loves burning up the lanes with Rita. Tripp and Melissa attained their FM title. Tripp has incredible speed and is always fun to watch.

 

June 28-29, 2008 - Prairie PDQ Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We placed 4th in Division 3 on Saturday and Sunday. Our fastest time was 20.05, a new personal best for Furry Flash. Rootbeer and Barb earned their FDCh at their second tournament. They have been a great addition to the team.

 

June 7-8, 2008 - Redline Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Lethbridge, AB. We ran an Open team on Saturday and finished 1st in Division 1 on Saturday and 4th on Sunday. Our fastest time of the weekend was 20.1. We had lots of fun running with some of the old FastAntics crew and ran with Tailwind for the first time. Patti and Stevie got their very first points and Stevie is now a Flyball Dog!

 

May 10-11, 2008 - River Runners Flyball Tournament, Warman, SK. We attended the Pirates of Saskatchewan tournament this year and it was a blast. The team ran great together and it looks like the dogs and handlers are really getting it together with only 3 flags all weekend. We placed second in Division 2 on Saturday and went undefeated on Sunday to take first place in Div 2! We also set a new all Moose Jaw team record of 20.6 seconds including a 20.7 time on 14 inch jumps. Lots of points were earned this weekend and we got a few more titles. Jackson and Beth Orr reached the FDCh-S level and Tequila and Barb Howells earned their FDCh-G title.

 

March 29-30, 2008 - KAOS Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. We placed 3rd in Division 2 on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday. All the dogs did great and our two new dogs did awesome. This was Rootbeer and Barb Taman's first tournament and they earned both their FD and FDX titles. Jackson and Beth Orr did the same, also earning their FD and FDX titles. Congrats guys, we knew you could do it!

 

November 11, 2007 - KAOS Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. The team attended one day of this tourney. We ended up 3rd in Division 2 with some really close races. We were able to set a new Furry Flash best time of 20.95. Booker with Allison Rain got to see the racing lanes for the first time and Jackson with Beth Orr got their first points! 

 

October 28, 2007 - Furry Flash moved back into the Golden Mile Arena at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds for the Winter months.

 

September 15-16, 2007 - Fastantics/Mach 4 Flyball Tournament, Lethbridge, AB. We made the trek back to Alberta this weekend and it was well worth it. We finished 3rd in Division 2 on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday while consistently running under 21 seconds. The veterans team did great too with the old dogs running a best time of 20.1, faster than many of the regular teams. Tequila with Barb Howells got her well deserved FDCh-S. Tripp with Melissa Smith had a great weekend and earned his FDCH-G.

 

August 16 - 17, 2007 - KAOS Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Regina, SK. This was our first tournament with only Moose Jaw dogs attending. We ran a best time of 21.2 and even managed to win a few races. A few titles were also earned. This was Ryot and Lindsay's first tournament and they got their FD and FDX titles and did great. Tequila (Barb Howells) ran every race and proved to be a reliable little height dog as she earned her FDCh title. 

 

May 19 - 20, 2007 - Fastantics Flyball Tournament, Lethbridge, AB. Furry Flash dogs teamed up with Fastantics at their tournament to put together two teams. The regular team did great and ran 20.54 seconds on 14 inch jumps. Hudson joined Alberta's first veterans team and it turned out to be lots of fun. Looks like vets was a hit and other teams will also be offering that option this year. Tripp with Melissa Smith ran flawlessly all weekend and earned his FDCh title. He was also clocked at 4.3 running in the start position and this was his second tournament. Great job guys!

May, 2007 - Furry Flash Dogsports has a new practice site. The new site is located on the 400 block of Caribou Street East. To get there, drive East on Caribou from Main street. Continue past Ross Wells Ball Park and over the railroad tracks. The buildings are located on the left. We will be in the middle building.

 

March 24, 2007 - KAOS Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Regina. Furry Flash Dogsports attended their first tournament as a new team this weekend. The dogs did great and two new dogs earned titles. Congratulations to Barb Howells and Tequila for earning their FD and FDX titles. Tripp and Melissa Smith also did great and earned their FD and FDX titles in their first day of racing. Our fastest time of the day was 21.72.
