| Cheyenne is our
5 year old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd (born April 28, 2000).
I picked Cheyenne because after spending time with the litter
she seemed to have the best personality and she had gorgeous
markings!!! Since I was now officially hooked on flyball, I was
very anxious to see how Cheyenne would do in the sport. From
the get go she was extremely ball motivated, she wanted nothing
more then to get that ball fast and bring it back so you could
throw it again, I was very please to see this. Cheyenne did
very well in flyball class, the one problem we ran into was that
Cheyenne seemed to have a stronger herding instinct then her
sister Sasha. She would want to chase after the dog in the
other lane that had a ball too. Through the wonderful support
and ideas from my flyball teammates, we worked through this
issue. She is generally a start dog because again she is so
ball motivated she sometimes gets distracted if another dog is
running at her with a ball in it’s mouth, we continue to work on
this, but as a start dog she does fantastic. We have actually
had two perfect starts!!! What I am most proud of with Cheyenne
is that she has a natural swimmers turn off the box, which makes
for a faster return. She runs her leg in about 4.3 seconds.
She has an extremely sweet demeanor, her goal in life it to
please us (and chase balls!!) I can’t say enough about the joy
our dogs and this sport has brought to our lives!!! |

Cisco
Date of Birth: 11/07/01
Breed:
JRT
Owner: Rebecca Sekyra
Titles: FDCH

Cisco came
to me as a foster dog in the Jack Russell Terrier rescue
program - he was less
than one year old. My job was to give Cisco a
temporary home until a
permanent one could be found. After four months
of having Cisco in the house and working with him to overcome some
behavior issues, (as
most rescue dogs come with some sort of emotional
baggage), I realized I
couldn't let him go, and his temporary home
became his forever
home. Cisco became the third member in a pack of
terriers joining
Jagermeister, the rat terrier, and Otis, another JRT from
Rescue.
Cisco is a true JRT -
he loves to dig, chase, bark, and hunt. He thrives
in Go-To-Ground
competitions at terrier trials, and puts up a pretty good
effort in the racing
event. I decided to put Cisco in flyball to improve
his concentration and
focus. Since he does have that terrier prey drive,
he has taken a bit
longer to get ready for flyball competition than most
dogs. That is OK
because flyball has given Cisco and me a chance to
build our relationship
as dog and owner...and someday, he will earn a
title or two. |

as fiesty as they come, and we love her for it! |

Frisco
Date of Birth: 05/04/01
Breed:
Golden Retriever
Owner: Melissa Hizer
Titles: FDCH-S

Frisco was born into a litter
of 8 puppies on May 4, 2001 in Arlington, Nebraska.
While growing up, I
always had small dogs. So, after I got married in 2000, I knew
I wanted a bigger dog and I always had a love for Golden
Retrievers. My husband I had just returned from a 3 week
vacation across the East coast, where everyday I pestered
him about getting a puppy when we returned. He wanted a dog,
but not at that time. Finally, he gave in and we got Frisco the
day after we returned from our vacation.
Frisco has taken a
couple of obedience classes. She didn't like them too much, so
we took a few agility classes, but we haven't competed. She
thinks the agility equipment is a big playground for her and she
can do what she wants.
One day I came across
the "Go Dogs!" website and saw that they offered a flyball
class. I thought we would try it out. After taking the class 2
times with Frisco, we decided to join the team. She loves to
play flyball and see all of the other dogs at practice on
Sundays.
On June 29, 2005, Frisco
became a big sister to a 2-legged baby girl named Peyton. They
get along just fine. However, Frisco is a little jealous of
Peyton, but I am trying my hardest to make Frisco still feel
like the baby of the house! Someday they will be best friends! |

| Getter came to
us from a friend in Missouri. She is actually my boyfriend’s
dog, but couldn’t live without either of us. She is the border
collie that started it all for this family. With her endearing
qualities and driven nature, she won my heart and created the
desire for MORE border collies!! We now have her other two
sisters from the same litter, Maggie and Gracie. Gracie is in
training for flyball, but hasn’t mastered the sport yet. Maggie
is hooked on herding her sisters. Getter loves to run around
and chase her sisters as well. At home she spends time with
Princess the 700 pound pig. It is a very funny couple! Getter
is shared between myself and my niece ReAnn who actually
achieved Getter’s fastest time of 4.7. |

well. She is
very energetic
and eager to please. She is also working toward perfecting her

Mesa is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She will be turning 4
in June 2006. She is only 1 of 2 Ridgebacks currently playing flyball
in North America. She currently has a FDCH. Mesa, like her brother
Alex, loves to swim and retrieve bumpers. Mesa has done some obedience

think she thinks she is a herding dog instead of a sight hound. |

Sasha is our 7 year old Black Tri
Australian Shepherd and was given to me as a birthday present. She came
from a breeder in Springfield, NE. I had researched several dog breeds
that would be good for my family and found the Aussie’s to have a lot of
the qualities I liked. We started puppy kindergarten right away and
were then directed to obedience at Go Dogs, where one of the trainers
noticed how much she liked balls and thought she would be a great
flyball dog. We took the class and have been hooked ever since. You
know how much she loves it when you get ready to go into the ring for a
race, she starts getting all excited, jumping and barking!!! Then when
it’s her turn in the line-up, you lean down and tell her “ready” and she
gets into her launch position, “GO” you tell her, she races off down the
lane and over those jumps to get that ball and bring it back to you for
her treat!!! My husband Dave runs Sasha now and they are a wonderful
team!!! Sasha has been a joy to our lives and you just melt when she
looks at you with those “just love me” brown eyes!!! Sasha turned out
to be such an excellent dog that when I found out, about a year and a
half later, that her parents had just had another litter, I just
couldn’t pass up just checking them out!!! Of course. |

Yoda turned to the
dark side at an early age-
He tore up the kitchen floor, chewed on the window blinds, ate socks and
cigarette butts (finally quit when he got a lit one). We started to
train on agility but quit after I fell and tore my rotator cuff. For my
safety, we switched to flyball where he uses the force for good and is
now a flyball master jedi. He is now ranked ninth for Pembroke Welsh
Corgis in flyball. Yoda loves to play frisbee and go for walks. He loves
to go to school with me since he gets so much attention. Yoda is a very
spoiled corgi!! |
