The Comets' pride is our eclectic mix of individuals and dogs of
all backgrounds, skill levels, and breeds. Everyone brings something
different to the flyball course, improving upon the team a bit more
every day.
-
-
-
-
- Team Unity-or the ability of many
canine athletes and their respective humans working together for a
common goal.
-
- Good Sportsmanship-It is important
to set a good example for our children and newcomers to the sport of
flyball as well as promote good relations with other teams. It is also
equally important to practice good sportsmanship within the team as
well.
-
- A Voting Majority-The Capitol City
Comets make all decisions for the team based on the voting majority of
either the board of directors, the regular members, or a combination
of both in accordance with our by-laws to ensure that all voices are
heard and all ideas are given a fair hearing.
-
- Dedication to our Dogs, Team, and Sport-Being
a team means that we are only as good as the dogs we run and the dogs
who run are only as good as the training, practice, and hard work the
entire team puts into each individual. All dogs, regardless of skill,
level of training, or experience participate in our activities equally
to ensure that each handler, dog, and team performs to its best
potential.
-
- Having Fun-First and foremost, our
goal is to have fun with our dogs and friends!
If the Comets sound like a team you might
like to be a part of, please
contact us for more information on current practice times and
locations.
