Getting Involved
The Comets enjoy helping out in our area and whether it's holding a demo or donating money, we do our best to make Northern Nevada a little better. Here is what we're up to now!
July 6, 2002-Northern Nevada Dog Days of Summer
- This event will feature many canine activities, health related clinics and demontstrations, as well as doggie vendors, local business, and clubs. Hosted by Quicksilver Agility, but put together by all the clubs of Northern Nevada, this event is geared toward promoting public awareness about canines, the activities available to them, and information about caring for their pet.
March 9, 2002/March 16, 2002-Easter Photo Shoot Fundraiser
- The Comets will donate 10% to an as yet unnamed canine charity from our Easter Photo Fundraiser. The rest of the money earned will go back to the team to keep costs down for the members.
Carson City Animal Shelter
- We donated $1.00 a photo from our Santa Paws Photo Fundraiser in December of 2001 to the Carson City Animal Shelter for a total donation of $61.00.
