Lessons

  • Please call or email to register for our next flyball and agility lessons.
  • Our puppy activity class is an 8 week class for puppies aged from 4 to 10 months. This class will help build confidence on equipment and in new situations. It will introduce non-impact agility equipment and teach basic flyball behaviors. Puppy obedience will also be covered. This is a great way to see what you or your puppy might enjoy and get a head start on training.
  • Our agility lesson package is an 8 week course with lessons being once a week for one hour. Lessons are in the evening on weekdays. The 8 week training course will give you and your dog the basics needed to start participating in club activities and open practice at our training site.
  • Our flyball lessons begin with a basic 8 week session to start. The dogs then practice with the team until they are tournament ready. You do not have to be a member to take one our lessons, however members get a discount.

News For 2006

  • September 16-17, 2006 - FastAntics Flyball Tournament, Lethbridge.  We were able to put together one team for our Fall tournament. Big thank you to Calgary Canine Centre and their height dog, Tearin. We placed 4th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday. Our newest dogs, Sasha and Sheena are both turning into solid team dogs, running clean all weekend. Sasha was also able to earn her FDCh-S title this weekend!

  • June 17-18, 2006 - Redline Dogsports Flyball Tournament, Coaldale. We attended Redline's very first tournament and experienced our first two ring tournament. In the whirlwind, our division 4 team placed 4th both days and the multi division 2 team finished 3rd. No new titles were earned this weekend.

  • May 20-21, 2006 - Fastantics Flyball Tournament, Coaldale. Our team hosted another successful tournament at the Coaldale arena. We were able to put two teams together. The division 1 team placed 5th and 6th with a best time of 19. 3, while the division 2 team placed 5th. Fred was able to earn his FDCh-S and Shasha ran in her first tournament and earned her FD, FDX and FDCh!

  • May 13-14, 2006 - River Runners Flyball, Warman, SK. We had a good weekend in Saskatchewan. We ran a division 2 team that finished 3rd on Saturday and took 1st place on Sunday. Our division 3 multi team finished 1st over both days. Our fastest time of the weekend was 19.4. Dot ran great and earned her FDCh-S.

  • March 28, 2006 - Danelle Ulrick and Jinx have been hot on the agility circuit. They placed 2nd in Jumpers and received a Q (qualifying score) at a NADAC trial in Calgary. They also placed 1st in Jumpers and 2nd in Gamblers at an AAC trial in Medicine hat in September of 2005. Congratulations! Look for them at upcoming trials this summer.

  • March 11-12, 2006 - Calgary Canine Centre Flyball Tournament, Calgary. Since we were still lacking a consistent height dog since the retirement of Zoey in December, FastAntics decided to run with Calgary Canine Centre for the season. We thank everyone at the Canine Centre for allowing to run with them! We were able to put together a "bird dog" team in Division 3 that finished 5th on Saturday and a Division 4 team that finished 4th on Sunday. This weekend was Lou's debut on the racing lanes and with a bit more experience, she will become a valuable asset to the team. No titles were earned by any of the dogs but they sure had fun, especially Hudson who had been away from racing for 6 months and had to have his X-pen anchored to a steel beam!  ;)

  • January 14, 2006 - Calgary Canine Centre Flyball Tournament, Calgary. We only sent one team to this tournament and they did great considering we were running with a borrowed height dog from Canine Centre. They placed 5th on Saturday in Division 2. Two big titles were earned this weekend. Banjo received her well deserved Onyx Award (20,000 pts.) and Mandy reached the coveted FGDCh (40,000 pts.). Way to go guys!
