Topo

Hi! My full name is "Blue Cedar's Topo Gigio" which means brown mouse in Italian. My mom, Corinne, was born in Italy and she used to love the little puppet, Topo Gigio on the Ed Sullivan show when she was a little girl. I was born on October 30, 2008 and my mom knew that I was meant for her the first day she laid eyes on me!

At 4 weeks of age, I was walking around with a full sized tennis ball in my mouth, hence my ball obsession now. I was the smallest puppy in the litter and the only one to be found playing with the ball all by myself. My mom picked me up at 10 weeks of age and the very next week, we moved to Victoria, BC where I began my flyball training. I ran in my first tournament on May 2, 2010. My best time to date is 4.194 seconds.

I was a little slow to mature during my first year and so my antics at home caused most people to call me a bad puppy. But I do have one thing going for me - I learn everything at breakneck speed! I now have a repertoire of about 20 tricks that I can do. I think my handstand is my cutest trick. And so, I may try some musical freestyle later this year. So far, I have done some dock diving, I can catch a Frisbee, I have done a bit of lure coursing, and I am starting lessons for agility which I love to do with gusto!

I have three others dogs in my household - Duncan the Cairn Terrier, my half-brother Havoc, who is a fyball speedster, and little sister Power! I love playing with my canine siblings.
